For the hygiene and safety of the Soundfloating bath, Aquasonic complies with national standards for floating bath and saltwater baths in the Netherlands. We check our water daily for the appropriate levels of hydrogen peroxide and pH value, and we monitor the magnesium sulfate concentration weekly. Additionally, we conduct periodic checks through an external laboratory to ensure the quality of the water in our floating tank.

Additionally, we have the water analyzed by Labo Derva N.V. This laboratory specializes in the quality of saltwater baths and conducts monthly inspections.

For disinfection, a dosing pump adds a calibrated amount of hydrogen peroxide to the water. Afterwards, a UV lamp eliminates any bacteria and viruses present. This ensures that the water is clean for the next session.

The Environmental Protection Agency Midden Holland (ODMH) conducts an annual safety and hygiene inspection to ensure that our floating bath is safe for use. In August 2024, the Soundfloating bath was approved by ODMH.

For hygiene, the water is thoroughly purified after each session. This is done using an advanced filtration system that includes a water pump and both coarse and fine filters.

Underwater Technology

At Aquasonic, we utilise underwater audio technology from an American company that specializes in this field. Through the underwater speaker, you can feel the sound vibrations in your body. The speaker is specifically designed for use in water, and its movement in the water occurs mechanically (not electrically). Outside the tank, we use only low voltages for the lighting and speaker mechanism.

The waterproof earbuds you wear during the session to listen to calming sounds and music are specially designed for use in water.

Electrical Safety

All connections in our Soundfloating space have been made by a certified installation company and comply with all safety standards.
